E-Bike Rebate
Eligible ATMA members who purchase an electric bicycle can receive a $300 rebate to offset the cost of a cleaner, greener commute.
About the Program
ATMA's E-Bike Rebate Program supports sustainable transportation by providing eligible members with a $300 rebate when they purchase an electric bicycle. E-bikes are an efficient, zero-emission way to travel around Alameda and connect to transit across the Bay Area. They also help address one of the region's key transportation challenges—the "first/last mile" gap—by making it easier to get from transit stops to your final destination when it's beyond a convenient walking distance.
We also strongly recommend applying for additional rebates listed on our partner programs page, such as those offered by Alameda Municipal Power and AVA Energy. These incentives are stackable and can significantly reduce the cost of an e-bike—potentially making it nearly free.
Eligibility Requirements
✓ Eligible
- You must be a member of the Alameda TMA
- You must submit the rebate application within three (3) months of the purchase date
- The e-bike must be purchased from a retailer, either online or in-store
- Eligible bicycles must have an electric motor, a battery, and functional pedals
- 1 rebate per bicycle
- 1 rebate per employee or unit
✗ Not Eligible
- E-bikes purchased from peer-to-peer platforms (e.g. eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Buycycle)
- Scooters, mopeds, motorcycles, and segways
- Electric bicycle conversion kits

To be eligible for the ATMA rebate and most other rebates, the bike must be new and purchased from a retailer — not used or from a third-party seller.
