About the Service
The MV Woodstock carries passengers across the Oakland Estuary between Alameda Landing (Bohol Circle Immigrant Park dock, near Target) and Jack London Square in Oakland (foot of Broadway).
The shuttle is free to ride, wheelchair accessible, and welcomes bikes, strollers, and cargo bikes. No ticket, Clipper card, or reservation needed — just show up and board.
Launched July 17, 2024 as a two-year pilot, the service has since received a two-year extension with funding now secured through June 2028.
Phase 1 Impact (June 2024 – May 2026)
Across Phase 1, Woodstock carried over 251,000 passengers and 60,000 bikes across the Estuary, expanded from 5 to 6 days per week, and grew weekly trips by 84%. The project received a 2025 Transportation Planning Award of Excellence from the American Planning Association, California Chapter, Northern Section.
